Beit Messiah opened its doors in 2000. We are a Messianic Synagogue that is dedicated to making the name of Yeshua our Messiah known throughout the Pacific Northwest and specifically in the Seattle Metro area. We worship Adonai with a unique blend of traditional Jewish liturgy and contemporary Messianic music with a full band. We love to dance, sing and lift our hands to worship the God of Israel. We love the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) and the Messianic Writings (New Testament) and we incorporate both in all that we do. We are people, both Jews and Gentiles, who have been transformed by the Ruach (Spirit) of the creator of the universe and we believe that anyone can experience the power and love of God through Yeshua our Messiah.

SHABBAT SERVICE:
Our Shabbat Service is a combination of traditional Hebrew liturgy and contemporary Messianic music. We follow a cycle of reading (Torah cycle) that dates back 2500 years (that is 500 years before our Messiah!). The Torah is a scroll that contains the first five books of the Tanach (Hebrew Bible) and we read from it in Hebrew and English. In our community the term “Torah” can also refer to the entire word of God which includes: Torah, Writings, Prophets (Tanach or Old Testament), and the Messianic Writings (New Testament).

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS:
Currently, if desired, we have childcare available for 0-2 years old in the Nursery below the Fellowship Hall during the entire service.   3-7 yr olds are welcome to share in a parasha lesson, scripture memorization, crafts and interactive music following the Torah procession.  At this time, puzzles, mazes and code sheets based on scriptures stories and verses are on hand for 8-12 yr olds.  We love our children and love that they are children and do not mind the "noise" of children if you prefer to have your children with you during any part of the service.
ONEG:
Literally means “delight” and is a time following the service for our community to delight in the Shabbat together. Those who call Beit Messiah their home congregation are invited to bring food to share with everyone. Our congregation is Kosher according to Scripture. We DO mix milk and meat and our meat is often not rabbinically kosher. But as a community we abstain from non-kosher food (i.e. pork and shellfish) as described in Leviticus 11. If you are visiting with us you are more than welcome to come and share in fellowship and food with us!

SUPPORT:
Our Synagogue is supported by tithes and offerings of those who count Beit Messiah as their home congregation. If you plan to visit with us and would like to give there is a box marked “offering” by the entrance. You can also donate here:

MEDIA:
Sermons are available on our website on the “podcast” page. You can also “subscribe” to our podcast on iTunes to be alerted when a new message is posted and for free downloads. Messages are posted weekly.

DAVIDIC DANCE:
We love to celebrate the God of Israel during our service. We sing, dance, clap and lift our hands in worship to the God of Israel. This is modeled after King David who was known (all throughout the scriptures) to get pretty excited about worshiping the true King of Kings, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!
