• We believe in The Jewish Scriptures consisting of the Tenach (Hebrew Bible: Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings) and The Messianic Writings (New Testament or Brit Hadasha). • We believe in God and that He is Echad: a united one, a composite unity, eternally existent in plural oneness. He is a personal God who created us and exists forever as the Godhead: Father, Son, and Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). • We believe that Mankind was created in the image of God, fell and became separated from God, and in a gift from God we are saved by grace through faith and the atonement made by Yeshua the Messiah. • We believe in the Resurrection of the redeemed to everlasting life and the Judgement of the lost to eternal separation from God. • We believe in the Messiah and that the Scriptures promised two “comings” of the Messiah. The first coming was to make an atonement for sin, and the second is the promised return. • We believe that Israel in prophecy includes God’s end-time plan for the nation of Israel and for the world. • We believe that Messianic Judaism is best defined in The Model of Return (as stated above).
What we believe
The Model of Return affirms that we are re-turning to the Jewish faith of our forefathers, a faith that looked forward to the hope of a redeemer Messiah. Our faith cannot be complete without this central tenet of messianism restored as a core value. The message of Yeshua our Messiah is consistent with the Tenach (Hebrew Bible) when God calls His people to return to Himself, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. All throughout the Messianic Writings (New Testament) Yeshua calls all of Israel to return to the God of our Fathers. We are a community that has returned to a Jewish faith that is demonstrated in Jewish life and practice as modeled by Yeshua our Messiah. This is why we call ourselves “Messianic”: because we are people, Jews and Gentiles together, who are following after our Messiah who was sent on behalf of the God of Israel so that all people who believe in Him could have the opportunity to live forever with Him!
